Two-pronged attack for Miller

Simon Miller will have a two-pronged attacked in the Listed Breast Cancer Research Centre Of WA – Belgravia Stakes (1200m) at Ascot on Saturday.

Miller, who always has exciting juveniles coming through the ranks has again shown that his stable is thriving with quality when it comes to three-year-olds.

Liwa and It’sarayday will both take their place in the race, and both come into it with strong form.

Liwa, a three-year-old filly by Mulaazem showed her ability first-up with an eye-catching victory in the Listed 3yo Classic, rattling home to win with the final stride.

She demonstrated her class last preparation by winning the Listed Supremacy Stakes and being placed in the Group 2 Karrakatta Stakes and Group 3 WA Sires.

It’sarayday, has only had two-career starts but has won them by 1.8 length and 2.8 lengths and has shown that he is ready to take his place in this grade.

Jockey Patrick Carbery has won on both horses and had the choice of either ride, electing to ride It’sarayday after he drew barrier 8 and Liwa drew barrier 15.

In form hoop Clint Johntston-Porter will take the ride on Liwa and hope to maintain his spot in second on the WA Metro Jockey Premiership behind William Pike and one ahead of Chris Parnham.
