On Monday 30 January 2017, Lot 62, a filly by Reliable Man out of Be Inspired was purchased by John Chalmers Bloodstock for $190,000 in New Zealand, on behalf of Bob & Sandra Peters.
This filly was later named Inspirational Girl and on Saturday she attempts to win her ninth race at only her eleventh outing in the $1 million dollar Group 1 Kirin-Railway Stakes.
The timing is Inspired with WA’s favourite son William Pike returning from 14 days quarantine to team up with the pre-post favourite. Inspirational Girl is a last start winner of the Group 3 Hosemasters-Asian Beau Stakes where she recorded the fastest last 1000, 800, 600, 400 and 200m of the race to score an emphatic victory.
Punters strongly believe she is the one to beat in the 2020 Railway Stakes as Grant & Alana Williams look to win their third straight edition, adding to the 2018 and 2019 success with Galaxy Star and Regal Power respectively.
