Angelic Ruler gapped her fellow three-year-old gallopers on AJ Scahill Stakes Day at Ascot Racecourse

Punting Form race reports: Saturday 22 December

Angelic Ruler made a brilliant return on AJ Scahill Stakes Day at Ascot Racecourse and, even though she is backing up off seven days for the first time in her career, Punting Form's numbers suggests she is going to take a stack of beating when she contests the Amelia Park Beef Handicap on Ted van Heemst Stakes Day.

A 10-day turnaround did not prevent Angelic Ruler recording back-to-back wins at Belmont Park in July and, according to Punting Form, she posted her personal best figure when blousing her eight Mrs Mac's Handicap opponents over 1,200 metres last weekend. Stepping up to 1,400m in the Amelia Park Beef Handicap should not inconvenience Angelic Ruler and, while there are big raps on Assetro from the Adam Durrant yard, she has not run anything like the Punting Form numbers as the Pearce Racing-trained filly has during their respective careers.
