Dad's Bighead Winning 3 May 2020 at Belmont Park

Dads Bigheaded out to break drought

Three-year-old gelding Dad’s Bigheaded will be looking to break a 371-day drought when he steps out in the Ascend Sales Trophies Handicap at Belmont Park on Wednesday.
Previously trained by veteran trainer Colin Webster, the gelding by I’m All Talk now finds himself with Fenella Martin.

He put in a strong performance first-up, still doing a little bit wrong down the straight but finishing second behind Written Matter while carrying 60.5kg.
Stepping back up in distance to 1400m, the only distance that he has won at, should also be beneficial for the galloper who appears to potentially want more ground this preparation.
Ryan Hill who trialled him before his first-up run, will get back in the saddle after Brad Parnham rode him first-up.
He will jump from barrier four in an eight-horse field and should get every possible chance to return to the winners’ circle.
