Night Voyage recorded a new Punting Form personal best rating in winning at Belmont Park last time out

Punting Form race reports: Saturday 20 October

According to Punting Form, Night Voyage went to a new performance level in winning his first Saturday race in Western Australia two weeks ago and he should be vying with Masquerade for TABtouch favouritism in Saturday's Crown Towers Handicap at Ascot Racecourse in the fifth race on Crown Perth Opening Day.

Night Voyage's trainer, Martin Allan, tweeted his displeasure at Racing and Wagering Western Australia's decision to increase the galloper's rating by five points but, according to Punting Form, the six-year-old former New Zealand-based gelding produced the best effort of his career to win at Belmont Park.

Most of Night Voyage's best runs over Saturday's 1,000 metres trip have been in races run quickly in their early stages and, according to Punting Form's speed map for the Crown Towers Handicap, the pace should be on from the start.
