Expected weather: Partly Cloudy 19°C

Expected track rating: GOOD4

Rail position: Inside

Race 1 - 11:53AM TABTOUCH PLATE (1300 METRES) – FULL FIELD

3. LOB CITY was caught deep last week and still attacked the line strongly behind Watchit. The daughter of Vital Equine will appreciate getting out to 1300m and must be well for Simon Miller to be backing her up after running only seven days ago.

5. TEXAS MOON settled too far back last start behind Rubia Miss, when on debut. Another product of Vital Equine, he attacked the line with a full head of steam and looks to be a smart type with improvement to come. The more he races he runs in, the better he will be. Fred Kersley has another nice juvenile on his hands.

2. RUBIA MISS won well last start after being inconvenienced, when rounding the turn, by Epic Grey. Simon Miller said after the race that out to a mile will suit her as a three-year-old so expect the filly to relish 1300m at this early stage of her career.

1. ART SERIES’ last two starts were both good when victorious. She didn’t break the clock on either of those occasions but she is drawn to get the run of the race. The daughter of Sebring is another which will appreciate the extra 100m out to 1300m.

SUGGESTED SELECTIONS: 3-5-2-1

SUGGESTED BET: 3. Lob City – EACH WAY

Race 2 - 12:30PM J.J. RICHARDS & SONS HANDICAP (1300 METRES) – FULL FIELD

3. MINUS LOOKS has a few factors working in his favour for this race. Firstly, he gets back to Belmont where his record is flawless. Secondly, the blinkers have been applied to aid sharpening him up as he is dropping in distance from 1600m to 1300m. And lastly, he can lead on day where the wind will suit those on the speed. Although Salorsci is a progressive type, Minus Looks has recorded superior times in comparable races. He will either lead or get the run of the race and is a great each-way play.

2. SALORSCI is clearly a very talented gelding with plenty of upside. Jarrad Noske elects this galloper over Top Of The Class which is a good lead. Noske's father, trainer Jeff, recently bought the younger half-brother of Salorsci which suggests that he really likes the breed, the horse and the family. Likely to start favourite.

5. TOP OF THE CLASS worked home well last start in the small field of six. They were running fast times on that day so it is hard to tell where she stands in the overall scheme of proceedings. Winkers added and William Pike replacing Noske will hinder her chances.

4. STORM DANCER is looking for every bit of the 1300m and further. Expect him to hit the line powerfully after a good first up run over 1200m. He will be in the finish but expect further improvement over 1400m and beyond.

SUGGESTED SELECTIONS: 3-2-5-4

SUGGESTED BET: 3. Minus Looks – EACH WAY

Race 3 - 1:10PM PERTH RACING CLUB MEMBERSHIP HANDICAP (1000 METRES) – FULL FIELD

2. COOL PASSION’s major advantage is drawing inside of Madassa. Blinkers going on help too but Pike will settle the mare inside of Madassa and will likely follow the gelding everywhere he goes. The recent trial was good when caught three-wide and she ticks plenty of boxes for her first up assignment.

1. MADASSA was excellent first up over 1100m in the Listed Northam Stakes. The Due Sasso gelding was beaten a nose by subsequent Group 1 runner First Among Equals and he looks to have returned nicely for trainer Lindsey Smith. Both First Among Equals and Madassa broke a six-year-old track record over 1100m, at Northam, which suggests Smith has him firing.

8. SWEET ORA ran a much improved race last start behind The Celt. The three-year-old draws ideally here and should get the lovely smother along the rail, behind the speed. She should be able to challenge in the finish with only 52.5kg on her back.

9. WOOLIBAR is an absolute 1000m horse and has recorded competitive times over the distance and at Belmont Park. Expect a bold run but the others at the top of the betting market are the ones to beat.

SUGGESTED SELECTIONS: 2-1-8-9

SUGGESTED BET: 2. Cool Passion – WIN

Race 4 - 1:48PM CROWN TOWERS HANDICAP (1600 METRES) – FULL FIELD

1. MILITARY RULER has been sluggish away at his first two starts this preparation which is unlike him. Back to Belmont is very favourable (14 starts, four wins and seven placings when at Belmont) as is the step out to 1600m. He draws inside and gets the 3kg claim which should see him leading comfortably and being hard to run down. Have faith that trainer Darren McAuliffe has amended his barrier manners.

3. ASTRONOMITE is unbeaten at the track and will appreciate 1600m second up after a nice first up effort over 1400m. The nicely bred commodity looks set for a big preparation over staying trips.

4. RED PUBLISHER finally draws a barrier! The son of Publishing gets out to 1600m for the first time in his career and the blinkers coming off should help him to settle and get every metre of it.

5. TONKATUFF won well only last week and looks to be getting better with every race. Jarrad Noske takes over riding duties for Ryan Hill which is no disadvantage. The way he travels in his races will see him get every chance down the long Belmont Park straight.

SUGGESTED SELECTIONS: 1-3-4-5

SUGGESTED BET: 1. Military Ruler – EACH WAY

Race 5 - 2:28PM HEINEKEN 3 HANDICAP (1600 METRES) – FULL FIELD

11. ALLUME LE FEU is a smart filly with a bright future ahead for connections and trainer Fred Kersley. Although the Discorsi filly is still a maiden, her runner-up effort last start in maiden company was full of merit. With the assumed soft run from barrier one, expect her to be thereabouts on straightening. She is the each-way value of the race.

10. QUEEN BEY comes off an ok maiden win but there did appear to be improvement to come as most of Blackfriars' young progeny get better with age, racing and over ground. Glenn Smith stays on which is a positive as he rode the filly very well last start. Smith will let the filly balance up from back in the field and then ask her to find the line down the long Belmont Park straight.

3. RICH RED hit the line well last week, behind Tonkatuff, when running on from back in the field after getting caught in the slow second half of the race. The gelding has drawn ideally in barrier two and should improve third up.

4. RISING SEA returned to the races in impressive fashion with an all-the-way win on Wednesday 17 May. Since being gelded, he seems to be a different horse with a lot of advancement to come. A real threat.

SUGGESTED SELECTIONS: 11-10-3-4

SUGGESTED BET: 11. Allume Le Feu – EACH WAY

Race 6 - 3:05PM YELLOWGLEN HANDICAP (2100 METRES) – FULL FIELD

7. CULVERIN looks to be a genuine stayer which doesn’t possess too many gears. In fact, she probably needs further but she is rock hard fit and gets a valuable claim off her back. The daughter of Musket is in great form and should go well if Randy Tan can get out and rolling before the turn.

3. KOSTYAZILCH stuck to his task well last start when third behind Rosewood Hill. His form prior, in weaker races, has been brilliant without winning. Watch for him to be running on.

2. ENTRECHAT is racing in great form and they always say you should follow mares when they string a few good runs together. She can settle in the first half of the field and feature prominently on straightening. Apprentice Fiona Bell has been riding well and should be able to steer her into a top three finish.

5. HOT BRESA was a strong winner last start when given a gem of a ride by Patrick Carbery. The son of Red Hot Choice appreciated getting out over 2200m and should now hold his form in these staying events at Belmont.

SUGGESTED SELECTIONS: 7-3-2-5

SUGGESTED BET: 7. Culverin - PLACE

Race 7 - 3:45PM SKYRACING.TV-PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES FNL (1400 METRES) – FULL FIELD

4. WAR JEUNE’s form reads excellently this preparation. The run last start behind Grey Enigma is one of the stronger form lines in the race and he gets his chance with the Blinkers back on.

12. IN THIS LIFE finds herself in this very open race after running a nice fourth in the Northam heat of the Skyracing.Tv Provincial Championship Series. The mare is claimed down to 53kg which will suit after a solid performance in that heat. Being trained by Lindsey Smith, she'll be fit enough to run well.

9. LE PATRON possess a fair bit of ability but the mare but can’t seem to put races away. In saying that, she has met Conseated and Remember Berlin in recent times, both of which are of Saturday class. She meets a very beatable Saturday field here and, with clear running, she can play a part in the finish.

6. KAAPANDER is going outstandingly well this preparation. He won first up when handily ridden by Aaron Mitchell. All of his runs since have been very good and not far away from the mark. Out to 1400m is the only concern but you can trust that he is going well if Mitchell stays on.

SUGGESTED SELECTIONS: 4-12-9-6

SUGGESTED BET: Roving Banker 4. War Jeune with 2.3.6.8.9.12.13 – TRIFECTA $10 for 7.93%

Race 8 - 4:25PM D'ORSOGNA HANDICAP (1200 METRES) – FULL FIELD

3. STATE SOLICITOR’s last start effort when first up was complete forgive run. Take the price out of the equation and the run wasn't too bad. In a few months, we will look back at the run and simply consider it an anomaly. With the run under his belt, he should improve back to Belmont where his record has only one blemish.

4. MAD BRAD looked to be going nowhere in the straight last start but found plenty in the last little bit, behind a wall of horses, when struck with Peter Hall's whip. The six-year-old should go well back to Belmont where his record reads 16 starts for three wins and seven places.

1. TESTAMEZZO’s recent trials were sound behind some very classy types. He goes well fresh as a rule but failed to jump with rivals in the recent jump outs. The gelding will get the nice run along the rail as well as blinkers going on for the first time in his 17-start career. A big watch with the in-form apprentice, Kate Witten, on.

5. MR MOTOWN continues to race in wonderful form. He may not be up to the class of a few of the more fancied runners that he meets but he has to be respected over 1000m. This will be his third run in as many Saturdays which would suggest that Lindsey Smith has him humming and at full fitness.

SUGGESTED SELECTIONS: 3-4-1-5

SUGGESTED BET: 4. Mad Brad – PLACE
