Snipillicious Winning at Ascot

Snipillicious looking for a hat-trick

Leading trainer Adam Durrant will be hopeful that his smart placement of Snipillicious will lead to a victory in the Westspeed Platinum Autumn Final over 1200m at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday.

The lightly raced four-year-old has had twelve starts for three victories and four placings and will be chasing his third victory in a row.

With a different preparation to what we normally see from the Durrant stable, the gelding by Snippetson has had nine trials throughout his career, including two between both of his most recent victories.

Having broken through at Narrogin in late-2020, it’s been his last two starts which have been spaced six months apart that he has shown the stable some reward for their patience and perseverance.

The gelding should get the perfect run having drawn barrier two and can sit in a prominent position stalking the leaders with Clint Johnston-Porter in the saddle.

The winner of the race will receive $54,800 for taking out the Westspeed Platinum Autumn Final.
