Neufbosc looks to continue momentum towards TABtouch Perth Cup

Six-year-old gelding Neufbosc will be hoping for more success when he steps out in the Listed A.T.A Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.

The former Melbourne Cup runner has shown promising signs since coming to Western Australia and joining the Neville Parnham stable.

Stepping out in WA for the first-time, he finished fourth in the Group 3 Asian Beau Stakes and was able to then win the Listed Carbine Club third-up.

Following a disappointing performance when returning to Group 1 company in the Kingston Town Classic, he put in a better performance last start when finishing second behind Trap For Fools in the Listed G.A Towton Cup.

Neufbosc opened as the short-priced favourite and will jump from barrier 2, a victory on Saturday will fill the camp with confidence before their target race of the campaign, the Group 2 TABtouch Perth Cup.
