Members Dress Code

Raceday can be all about the fashion. To ensure you have a premium raceday experience we kindly ask all members and your guests adhere to our Dress Code, which is in place to maintain the sense of occasion that makes a raceday so very special. The Dress Code applies to all members, members' guests and applies to children 12 years and over in member areas.

Members Area
Perth Racing's Dress Code will be strictly enforced within Member Areas as follows:

Ascot Racecourse

  • Members Floor - Grandstand Second Level
  • Flying Colours Restaurant
  • Corporate Suites and Superbox
  • Director's Lounge
  • Mounting Yard

Belmont Park

  • Placid Ark - Grandstand Second Level
  • Members Floor - Grandstand Third Level
  • Peninsula Dining Room
  • Corporate Suites
  • Mounting Yard

* Please note the Members Dress Code will be relaxed when the Members Floor is open to the general public for weekday and re-scheduled country race meets.

  • Neat dress, in keeping with the dignity of the member area. Dress length is to be no shorter than mid-to lower thigh. (For example, no bare midriffs, playsuits or excessive cleavage). Fascinators and hats are encouraged, particularly on carnival days.

    Not acceptable
    All denim, joggers, shorts, cargo pants, leggings, torn or ripped clothing, thongs, sports shoes, unclean or untidy footwear, active wear, singlets and manual / hi-vis work clothing.

    • Ladies

      Neat dress, in keeping with the dignity of the member area. Dress length is to be no shorter than mid-to lower thigh. (For example, no bare midriffs, playsuits or excessive cleavage). Fascinators and hats are encouraged, particularly on carnival days.

      Not acceptable
      All denim, joggers, shorts, cargo pants, leggings, torn or ripped clothing, thongs, sports shoes, unclean or untidy footwear, active wear, singlets and manual / hi-vis work clothing.

  • Collard button-down business or formal shirt with tailored trousers and covered dress shoes. (For example, no polos and no jeans).

    Not acceptable
    All denim, joggers, shorts, cargo pants, leggings, torn or ripped clothing, thongs, sports shoes, unclean or untidy footwear, active wear, singlets and manual / hi-vis work clothing.

    • Gentlemen

      Collard button-down business or formal shirt with tailored trousers and covered dress shoes. (For example, no polos and no jeans).

      Not acceptable
      All denim, joggers, shorts, cargo pants, leggings, torn or ripped clothing, thongs, sports shoes, unclean or untidy footwear, active wear, singlets and manual / hi-vis work clothing.

  • Members and patrons accessing the Mounting Yard are required to comply with Members Area Dress Code.

    Neither jeans nor denim is acceptable and patrons not adhering to the Dress Code will be asked to leave the Mounting Yard.

    Please note: Industry personnel and Trainers will be permitted access when wearing denim into the Mounting Yard during the Winter Racing Season at Belmont Park.

    • Mounting Yard

      Members and patrons accessing the Mounting Yard are required to comply with Members Area Dress Code.

      Neither jeans nor denim is acceptable and patrons not adhering to the Dress Code will be asked to leave the Mounting Yard.

      Please note: Industry personnel and Trainers will be permitted access when wearing denim into the Mounting Yard during the Winter Racing Season at Belmont Park.
