What to wear for General Admission at Ascot and Belmont Park:

A day at the Perth Races is a great combination of exciting racing action, fun, friends and above all stylish fashion.

Make the most of elegant racing traditions and make your mark by planning your Day at the Races. Ladies and gents are encouraged to be neatly dressed and groomed with shoes and a shirt to be worn at all times.

For Ladies race wear may include;

  • Hats or fascinators
  • Elegant race wear – dresses, pantsuits
  • Wedges, Heels or Flats  – comfortable for a day on grass or indoors

Gentlemen;

  • Hats
  • Suits – tie optional
  • Jacket & trousers or tailored shorts to knee

Please note, strict dress standard apply for all Members Areas so please ensure you comply if you are attending Ascot as a Members Guest or regular race patron.

The following Dress Regulations apply to The Terrace Restaurant, Marquee and 1900 Bar at Ascot:

Ladies

Ladies are to dress in suitable race day attire.  Heeled shoes, fascinators and hats are encouraged.

Gentlemen

Gentlemen are to dress smartly and appropriately, in keeping with contemporary racing style.  Tailored slacks or pants with a tucked in collared shirt are encouraged. Jackets and ties are optional with all attendees required to wear closed in dress shoes.

The following Dress Regulations apply to The Deck Crown Perth and grassed areas at Ascot:

Ladies

Ladies are required to dress in race wear to the standard appropriate to the more relaxed environment of the alfresco areas. Heeled shoes, fascinators and hats are encouraged.

Gentlemen

Gentlemen are asked to dress smartly and appropriately in keeping with contemporary racing style. Tailored dress shorts, slacks/pants with a tucked in collared shirt are encouraged. All attendees are required to wear closed in dress shoes.

Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any patrons not meeting these standards.
