Perth Racing’s Autumn Fashions on the Field will return to Ascot Racecourse on Saturday the 1st of April for the Amelia Park Karrakatta Plate.

The event will be hosted by Perth Racing in a trackside location, with a prize pool valued at over $20,000, open to both men and women of Perth and regional WA to enter.

A variety of hospitality packages, pop ups and entertainment will be on offer including tickets to our Corporate Members function, where guests will be in the presence of VIP guests invited to the fashions on the field.

Prizes to be won include a $10,000 Bali Holiday for the ladies winner, with a South-West Escape valued at $7,000 on offer for our men’s competition.

The competition will be judged on the ‘Best Dressed Race Wear’, under the following criteria:

  • Style & originality
  • Appropriateness of the outfit for the Autumn Racing carnival season
  • Attention to detail with all aspects of the outfit including accessories
  • Understanding the interpretation of race wear and current trends
  • Grooming and deportment
  • Suitability of the outfit for the climate of the season and of the day

Registrations on the day will open from 11:00am with the competition commencing at 12:30pm.

The registration desk will be located on the front lawn situated in front of the main catwalk to the right of the Mounting Yard.

Terms & Conditions

  • Contestants must be at least 18 years of age
  • Contestants must not receive any compensation from a third party for entering the competition
  • A hat or headpiece is compulsory for women
  • All prizes won by the contestant must be redeemed by that person only and are not permitted to be transferred to another individual or party.
  • Employees, directors and other representatives of organisations involved with conducting the 2017 Fashions on the Field event, including sponsors, are ineligible.
  • Any person who is in any way involved with, works as or otherwise works for an organisation or individual (including milliners or designers) that commercially produces fashion clothing, hats or similar for profit, is also ineligible to enter any competitions.
  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and not redeemable for cash.
  • 1st prize winners from the 2016 Autumn Fashions on the Field are ineligible, including both the women’s and men’s category.
  • $20 gift vouchers and gift bags will be presented to pre-registered competitors on the day of the Karrakatta Plate Day once they have confirmed their spot at the registration desk.
