Perth Racing’s Autumn Fashions on the Field event returns to Ascot Racecourse on Saturday the 4 April on the Amelia Park Karrakatta Plate Day.

The event will be hosted by Perth Racing in the heritage-listed pavilion and is open to men, women and family categories for Perth and regional WA participants to enter. A variety of entertainment options, dining packages and VIP events will be on offer - with further information coming soon!

Judging Criteria
The competition will be judged on the ‘Best Dressed Race Wear’, under the following criteria:

  • Style & originality
  • Appropriateness of the outfit for the Autumn Racing carnival season
  • Attention to detail with all aspects of the outfit including accessories
  • Understanding the interpretation of 'Race Wear'' and current trends
  • Suitability of the outfit for the climate, of the season and tone of the day
  • Grooming and deportment

Registrations
Registrations must be completed online in advance using the form below. We will still accept registrations on the day in person additionally. However all contestants must arrive and check-in between 11.00am - 11.30am with the competition commencing at approximately 12pm. Any entrants intending to compete are required to be present when heats commence.

Prizes
More information coming soon! A mix of Asia Escape travel, Crown Perth and shopping prizes are on offer with a total prize pool valued at more than $10,000. The winner of the Women's category automatically will go into the Final of the 'WA Fashions on the Field Competition'*

  • Contestants must be at least 18 years of age (unless entering the 'family' category)
  • Contestants must not receive any compensation from a third party for entering the competition
  • A hat or headpiece is compulsory for women
  • All prizes won by the contestant must be redeemed by that person only and are not permitted to be transferred to another individual or party. Prizes are valid for 12 months only and the responsibility of the winner to redeem directly with the vendor.
  • Employees, directors and other representatives of organisations involved with conducting the 2020 Fashions on the Field event, including sponsors, are ineligible.
  • Any person who is in any way involved with, works as or otherwise works for an organisation or individual (including milliners or designers) that commercially produces fashion clothing, hats or similar for profit, is also ineligible to enter any competitions.
  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and not redeemable for cash.
  • 1st prize winners from the 2019 Autumn Fashions on the Field are ineligible to register again for the same category in 2020.
  • Entrants of the family category must consist of a group inclusive of at least one child under the age of 16
  • Employees, directors and other representatives of organisations involved with conducting the 2020 Fashions on the Field event, including sponsors, are ineligible.
  • Any person who is any way involved with, works as or otherwise works for an organisation or individual (including milliners or designers) that commercially producers fashion clothing, hats or similar for profit, is also ineligible to enter any competitions.
