FAQs
Where and when will the competition be held?
The competition will be held at Ascot Racecourse in the Bookmakers' Pavilion near the Matheson Road entrance on TABtouch Derby Day at Ascot Racecourse.
Who can enter the competition?
Men and women aged 18+ may enter either the Best Dressed or Best Suited category. Entrants in the Best Dressed category must wear a dress or skirt, while entrants in the Best Suited category must wear a suit (pants and blazer). Please see terms and conditions when entering for more information.
How does the competition work?
From 12:00pm-2:00pm entrants will have the opportunity to pose for a professional photographer. The photos will then be judged by a panel of 3 judges. The judges will critique and score each entrant on their racewear styling and will award a winner for Best Dressed and a Best Suited.
How will the winners be announced?
We ask all entrants to gather in front of the Superscreen near the Grandstand at 4:30pm (pending race times) for the announcement of the winners.
How do I access my photos?
All contestants will be emailed a copy of their photos during the week following the competition.
Who is on the judging panel?
We will have 3 judges on the panel, with a mix of interests and credentials across fashion, design and styling.
What is the judging criteria?
Both categories will be judged on style, originality and attention to detail. Entrants in the Best Dressed category must wear a dress or skirt, while entrants in the Best Suited category must wear a suit (pants and blazer).
What are the prizes?
The winner in each category will receive a bespoke prize worth up to $500.
