Win a Trip of a Lifetime

One lucky WA winner is set to receive a 10-day trip of a life time to be part of the 2018 Melbourne Cup Carnival and will then compete in the Myer Fashions on the Field National Final on Kennedy Oaks Day.

This year there’s a brand new format. Myer Fashion photographers will be at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 20 October to capture your most gorgeous raceday outfits.  Your best 3 photos will then be submitted to a national judging panel with the top ten contestants from WA published on a specially curated new website.

How To Enter

Head to the Myer FOTF platform on Saturday 20 October, and get your shots taken by the official Myer photographer
Your best 3 photos will be submitted to a national judging panel 
Judges will select a Winner, Runner-up and Second runner-up with the decision announced on or around 23 October, 2018
WA’s Winner will receive the 10 day trip of a lifetime to the 2018 Melbourne Cup Carnival and compete against other State winners for the coveted title of National Winner

 

What Happens Next

Once all State events have been completed (see dates below), a small panel of high profile industry professionals will select the State Finalist, Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up from the top ten contestants per state. 

Prizes are detailed below with the WA State Winner having the opportunity to compete on stage in the Myer Fashions on the Field National Final to be held at Flemington on Kennedy Oaks Day, Thursday 8 November, 2018

WA State Winner

The best dressed contestant entry from WA as determined by the judges in accordance with the Judging Criteria, will win:

  • Return flights for the State Finalist winner and guest
  • 10 day / 9 nights accommodation including breakfast at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins
  • Access to the VIP area of the Myer Fashions on the Field enclosure including hospitality for AAMI Victoria Day, Lexus Melbourne Cup and Kennedy Oaks Day
  • Appearance in the Lexus Melbourne Cup parade on Monday 5 November (morning)
  • Invitation for the winner and their guest to the VRC Kennedy Oaks Club Lunch on Wednesday 7 November
  • Invitation to the celebrate the Lexus Melbourne Cup at Government House on Monday 5 November (evening)
  • Photoshoot with the Herald Sun*
  • Appearance on Sunrise**
  • Transfers to and from all events
  • Myer gift card to the value of $1,000
  • $500 Antler voucher for luggage

WA Runner-Up

The second best dressed contestant entry from WA as determined by the judges in accordance with the Judging Criteria will win:

  • Myer gift card to the value of $500
  • $250 Antler voucher for luggage

Second Runner Up

The third best dressed contestant entry from WA as determined by the judges in accordance with the Judging Criteria will win:

  • Myer gift card to the value of $250
  • $150 Antler voucher for luggage
  • Contestants must be at least 18 years of age and female
  • Contestants and/or their outfits must not promote commercially a brand, store or designer
  • Contestants must not receive any compensation from a third party for entering the competition
  • A hat or headpiece is compulsory for women
  • All prizes won by the contestant must be redeemed by that person only and are not permitted to be transferred to another individual or party
  • Contestants who place in the competition are not permitted to alter their outfits in any way throughout the stages of the finals
  • Employees, directors and other representatives of the Promoter and organisations involved in sponsoring or conducting any 2018 Myer Fashions on the Field event that is associated with the VRC (and any individuals so involved, including judges) are ineligible, as are members of their immediate families and household
  • Winners of the 2017 Myer Fashions on the Field Women’s Racewear State Finals are ineligible to enter any competitions associated with the 2018 Myer Fashions on the Field Women’s Racewear competition
  • Any person who is in any way involved with, works as or otherwise works for an organisation or individual (including milliners or designers) that commercially produces fashion clothing, hats or similar for profit, is also ineligible to enter any competitions (including the Victorian Competition and National Final) associated with the 2018 Myer Fashions on the Field Women’s Racewear competition
  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and not redeemable for cash
