Perth Racing team members,

I just wanted to say, thank you for your patience and understanding this week given the circumstances.

Perth Racing as advised on our website yesterday, Wednesday 15 September 2021 has experienced a cyber security incident involving unauthorised access to our operating systems as a result of a ransomware attack.

Perth Racing is taking this incident very seriously, and has engaged cyber security experts to investigate.

Our investigations are ongoing, but we have no reason to believe that your personal information has been leaked to a third-party.

Perth Racing apologises for this breach. We would like to assure you that we’re doing everything we can to rectify the situation, including working with authorities and putting additional security measures in place for future protection.

We will provide a further update as our investigation progresses. Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and support while we work to complete our investigation and rebuild our systems as quickly as possible. We are still investigating what can be recovered and will advise in due course, but this may take some time.

Please note that racing will continue as normal, and we’re hopeful this attack will not have an impact on the customer experience.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, or speak with one of our General Mangers Tony Favazzo on 0412 447 085 and Chantelle O’Sullivan 0437 701 155.

Be safe and know we will get through this, we are all here to support one another despite this very challenging circumstance.

Thank you,

Stuart Crockett
