Drakova gets her chance

Two-year-old filly Miss Drakova looks as though she has struck a nice race to potentially break her maiden tag at Belmont Park Racecourse on Wednesday.

The filly by Capitalist will take her place in race 1, the Bruiser Wilson Plate (1200m) where she will carry 55kg from barrier 9 with Chris Parnham in the saddle.

Having won both of her trials at the start of this preparation, she has shown promising ability with a third placing on debut behind Swear to God, a third behind Tiffany Street and a second behind Top Of The Pops last start.

In her first-two starts she was worse than mid-field and was able to show a nice turn of foot, running the final 600m in a low 34 seconds.

Stretching out to 1400m last start, the Neville Parnham-trained filly was able to use her barrier and sit closer on top of the speed.

Parnham will be the third jockey to ride her in only four starts which may be a good push since he had trialled the Daniel Morton trained filly Grey Mistress who is also in this race.
