*Please note this Media Statement has since been superseded. Please refer to the latest update from 1 April, 2022, via the following link  - Media Statement - Crowd To Enjoy Outdoors at Ascot Racecourse | Perth Racing.*

Following WA Government restrictions easing on Thursday 31st March 2022, Perth Racing will open with 500-person capacity limits in applicable hospitality venues, with a maximum of 2,500 guests permitted on-course for Amelia Park Karrakatta Plate Day, Saturday 2nd April 2022.

This means 500-persons are permitted within a single undivided indoor space or a single undivided outdoor space. Guests attending in hospitality facilities must remain in their designated venue area and unfortunately are not able to visit the mounting yard or horse stalls. This also applies to General Admission and outdoor guests, who must remain within a designated area, in line with WA Government guidelines. All attendees must book in advance.

Bookings for Amelia Park Karrakatta Plate Day are open and close 3:00pm Friday 1 April 2022, or as soon as capacity is reached. There will be no gate sales on the day. Masks must be worn indoors, however, guests do not have to be seated to consume food and beverages.

Based on current WA Government guidelines, these restrictions will remain in place for Schweppes WATC Derby Day on Saturday 9th April 2022 and will lift on Thursday 14th April 2022, unless otherwise advised.
