Morton stable poised for a big Saturday

Trainer Daniel Morton will be hoping for more success at Ascot Racecourse this Saturday when he saddles up six runners.

Having trained 10 winners last month at a 38 per cent winning strike rate and already starting this month with three winners from his 11 runners, the Morton-stable is one of the most inform stables in the state.

Morton has the favourite in the Group 3 R.J. Peters Stakes with Kissonallforcheecks, the Group 3 Euroz Hartleys – WA Champion Fillies Stakes with Buzzoom and the Euroz Hartleys – Colonel Reeves Stakes with Elite Street.

Kissonallforcheeks has drawn barrier 1 with inform hoop Clint Johnston-Porter in the saddle. The four-year-old mare has won seven races for her 14 career starts and a victory in this race would see her start in the Group 1 Heineken3-Railway Stakes.

Buzzoom has been a super consistent filly that from her nine career starts has never finished outside of the top three and has finished in the top two on eight occasions. She’ll be chasing her fourth victory in a row on Saturday.

Elite Street is the warm favourite for the Group 1 Crown Perth-Winterbottom Stakes, as he should be with his two dominant victories to start this preparation as he looks to defend his title later this month.

Morton will also saddle up Wilchino, Temptacion and Stafford’s Lad.
