Perth Racing held the Club’s 2021 Annual General Meeting yesterday on Monday, 18 October, at the Directors’ Lounge at Ascot Racecourse.
Quorum was achieved with 40 members in attendance and the Chair, Mr Colin Brown opened the meeting at 5:07pm.
Results of the Perth Racing Directors election were announced with Mr Colin Brown and Ms Paula Sullivan being returned to the Board for their final three-year terms, and Mr Peter Scott elected to his first term on the Perth Racing Board.
Mr Brown thanked the Members for voting in the Club election and welcomed Mr Scott to the Board.
The members were presented with commentary on the audited financials for the year ending 31 July 2021 along with an Operations Update by Stuart Crockett, Acting CEO / Special Advisor to the Board, and a presentation from Rowan Jones, Head of Entrust Wealth, advisors to Perth Racing.
Following the presentations, there was an opportunity for Members to ask questions as General Business items. There were a number of questions from the floor and the Q&A session with the Board and members went for just under half an hour.
The meeting was formally closed at 6:04pm and Members and Directors were able to share refreshments.
The Perth Racing Board subsequently met this morning Tuesday, 19 October 2021, to vote on the Office-Bearer roles of Chair and Vice-Chair for the year ahead. Mr Brown was returned as Chair and Ms Sullivan returned as Vice-Chair.
