McAuliffe sets team for Belmont Park

Impressive Racing has a big team engaged at Belmont Park with five runners set to take their place on Wednesday for trainer Darren McAuliffe.

In race 1 (Free Entry To Belmont Park Maiden 1400m), Champagne Dame will be hoping to progress from her strong debut performance.

She steps up to the 1400m from the 1000m, where she led throughout and ended up finishing third behind Bitofmerit in what looks to be a strong form reference.

Race 2 (Quayclean Maiden 1400m) will see My Fury take her place with only 53.5kg and William Pike in the saddle.

She has had three starts this preparation for three placings and has taken her career stats to five starts for four-placings. The blinkers go on for this run.

Jamaica Jeuney will make her debut in race 3 (Mrs Mac’s Maiden 1400m) with Chloe Azzopardi in the saddle.

The daughter from Impressive Jeuney has shown plenty of ability in all her trials and will also carry the lightweight of 53.5kg with the blinkers on.

Hyperspace will take his place in race 7 (All Flags Signs & Banners Handicap 1700m) following an average first-up run. He should improve out to the 1700m and will jump from barrier 2.

The final race of the day (Crown Perth Handicap) will see Igarashi also run second-up in her preparation.

She was beaten 2.8L first-up but looks more suited stretching out to the 1400m.
