Celevacci

Three-year-old options for Durrant

Race 1 at Belmont Park on Wednesday is a three-year-old no metro wins last year over 1700m, where leading trainer Adam Durrant has four of the seven runners.

The Durrant stable has kicked off the new season in great form, leading the way with eight metro winners, one of them being Celevacci.

Celevacci impressed on debut, holding on over 1400m on a heavy 8 at Belmont Park a fortnight ago and will now have to carry 60kg.

Dented Romance will have William Pike in the saddle from barrier 1. The gelding by Dissident was disappointing on debut but may have not relished the wet conditions.

Joe Azzopardi who rode Dented Romance in that race will now ride I’m A Dreamer who finished third on debut at Pinjarra over 1400m. He finished off strongly over the final 600m suggesting this extra distance will suit him perfectly.

Durrant will try and help his final runner by putting apprentice Victoria Corver in the saddle to bring his weight down to 56kg due to her 3kg claim.

Monetary Gains comes from the same race as I’m A Dreamer but finished three-lengths behind its stablemate.
