Indian Pacific set for big return

Talented four-year-old gelding Indian Pacific headlines the Jockey Celebration Day Sprint (1000m) at Belmont Park on Saturday.

The gelding by Zoustar raced in Victoria last campaign, finishing second at Flemington on two occasions, including in the Group 1 Newmarket.

In Western Australia he has only won Listed races and placed in a Group 3, but following that preparation over east he looks destined for bigger things.

Indian Pacific trialed on Monday and won by over 6-lengths under a tight hold by regular jockey Brad Parnham.

Three from three when racing first-up, Indian Pacific will need to go to new heights allocated 62kg for this event, 5.5kg more than any other runner.

Perfect when first-up, he’s also won three from four at the track and five from seven over the distance.

Currently Indian Pacific is $1.90 with TAB Touch and the clear favorite.
