Nerodio winning Beaufine Saturday 10 July 2021 at Belmont Park Racecourse
Impressive five-year-old gelding Nerodio will be hoping to add the Listed H.G. Bolton Sprint (1200m) to his already impressive preparation.
Trained by Stephanie Bakranich, Nerodio has won three races in a row, a benchmark 72+, 78+ and the Listed Beaufine Stakes.
Apprentice Laqdar Ramoly has been in the saddle for the recent benchmark races and was provided with the opportunity to win his first Listed race which he took with both hands in the Beaufine.
Nerodio is building an impressive record at Belmont Park, having had 12 starts at the track for nine victories and two-seconds.
Beneficially for the galloper he has also shown he appreciates the sting out of the track, with one victory from one run on a heavy track which was last start and two victories from five attempts on a soft track.
Nerodio is drawn perfectly in barrier 3 and should be just behind the leaders as they turn for home, if he can show the same turn of foot that he has this preparation then he will be incredibly hold to hard out and should hand Bakranich and Ramoly another Listed victory.
