Listed Belmont Guineas winner, Sheza Chalmer has opened as the clear favorite for the Listed Belmont Oaks (2000m) at Belmont on Saturday.
The three-year-old filly by Vital Equine couldn’t have been more impressive last start when bringing up her third career victory.
The 1600m was as far as she had ever raced before, but with the way that she was able to run through the line, you can only suggest that the 2000m of the Oak will suit her even more.
Jumping from barrier one, Patrick Carbery may need some luck in running, but a repeat performance of last start will justify the short quote that she has opened at.
Carbery will also jump from barrier one in the Listed Aquanita Stakes (2000m) when he rides Art Warrior.
He also looks like he’ll appreciate the extra 400m after a strong finish in the Listed Guineas last start.
