Drop in grade to suit Castillo Del Lago
Three-year-old gelding Castillo Del Lago should appreciate a drop back in grade when he steps out at Ascot Racecourse on Wednesday.
Having finished third last start in the Listed Lex Piper, he will take his place in race 4 on Wednesday which is a Three-Year-Old No Metro Win Last Year (54+).
By Alfred Nobel, he has only won one race from his eight starts but has placed on four other occasions demonstrating his consistency and raw ability.
The states leading jockey Chris Parnham will ride him for the first time on Wednesday, making him the fifth jockey to ride him on race day from his nine starts.
While the race, barrier and distance all look to be suitable for Castillo Del Lago, he will have to carry the allocated top-weight of 60kg.
