We’re back racing with patrons and owners for Detonator Stakes Day on Saturday 20 February at Ascot Racecourse.
It’s time to celebrate and support a much needed cause, so say goodbye to lockdown and hello to a fun day at the races. Perth Racing will be donating 20% of all gate entry fees to support the rescue efforts of Equestrian Western Australia and their established Bushfire Relief Fund to assist those with horses who have been impacted by the devastating Wooroloo and Hills bushfires.
Please join us to help those effected by making a donation online to the EWA Bushfire Relief Fund, or donate at the Racebook Kiosk Saturday before Race 8. All patrons donating will receive a tax donation receipt for the EQWA Bushfire Relief Appeal from the registered charitable organisation, The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) via email or with a mailed receipt post event.
If you have the capacity to do so, we would ask that you join us and do your part to help those impacted with a donation to the EWA Bushfire Relief Fund. Any donation of $2 or more is tax-deductible with all contributions going towards community members with horses who have lost or damaged items as a result of the fire, including fencing and land recovery items, feed, horse welfare items, equipment or other necessities. Please note beneficiaries of these funds do not need to be EWA members, with racing participants also eligible.
