Dig Deep Winning at Ascot Racecourse

Dig Deep and Son Of A God to lock horns again

Emerging four-year-olds, Dig Deep and Son Of A God will lock horns again this weekend at Ascot when they take their place in the BM78+ Australia Day Trophy (1500m).

Dig Deep comes into the race having defeated Son Of A God when they went head-to-head a fortnight ago in the Easingwold.

Son Of A God jumped favourite on that occasion and has again opened up shorter than Dig Deep with TABTouch.

The two leading chances will again have the two inform jockeys on their back with Chris Parnham booked for Son Of A God and William Pike locked in to ride Dig Deep.

Parnham has had a season to remember, leading the current WA Jockey Premiership with 92 winners (66 metro) including his first Group 1 success.

While William Pike is trying to make up plenty of ground having spent months in Victoria late last year, but has now ridden 36.5 winners (18.5 metro) for the season.
