In The Boat

Get On The Boat

Trainer Lindsey Smith will hope to start the day in style at Ascot when In The Boat steps out in race 1.

The gelding by Nostradamus showed ability in his trials and then brought that same ability to race day when he won by 2.6 lengths as the $1.28 favourite at Bunbury.

Group 1 winning jockey, Brad Rawiller, has been on his back for most of his trials and his only start, but with him bring forced to watch from the sidelines with injury, former Victorian apprentice Carleen Hefel will get her chance to impress on the three-year-old.

Drawn barrier 1 and with Hefel claiming three kilograms, In The Boat will push forward, but there is a bit of speed predicted in the small field.
