No Surrender win at Ascot Racecourse on TABtouch Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 3 November 2020

No Surrender to relish conditions

Jockey Mitchell Pateman and trainer Darren McAuliffe will look to start the day in style at Ascot with last start winner No Surrender who takes his place in the 'TABtouch-Better Yourself Handicap' for three-year-olds over 1200m.

Consistent through the early part of his career, No Surrender broke through last start with a well-deserved win on TABtouch Melbourne Cup Day, when the track was rated a Soft 7.

With plenty of rain around at the start of the week, the track will certainly play to the liking of the gelding by Universal Ruler, a breed that we know McAuliffe has had plenty of success with on rain effected tracks.

He heads the market in a competitive affair to start the day at Ascot on Wednesday.
