Home In Five aiming to impress

Trainer Michael Lane will be hopeful that his four-year-old gelding Home In Five can add to his dominant win at Northam last start when he steps out in a Class 1 handicap over 1200m at Ascot on Wednesday.

Having had 10 months off the scene, the gelding by Street Boss found plenty of late support and performed to market expectation winning by almost three-lengths eased down.

His first-up run suggested the 1200m will also be beneficial to his chances of going back-to-back.

He will have to get past some other progressive gallopers including last start winners Excerpt and Angelic Miss.
