Youngblood Wulff ready for horseplay

Sports and entertainment broadcaster Grady Wulff has joined Perth Racing for the 2020 Ascot Racing Carnival. Wulff will showcase the sport of kings, the elegance of racing fashions and beauty trends and take Perth’s fashionistas and entertainment goers on behind the scenes tours of all the entertainment action at Ascot Racecourse this spring, where horseplay lives.

The call has been put out to support all things local at Ascot Racing Carnival this year and now that she is back in Perth, Grady is delighted to be on-course for the Club’s new role and to be supporting team WA. This season Grady will showcase Ascot Racecourse as a social biographer. Fronting a series of video content pieces for Perth Racing with all the latest tips, fashion trends, interviews and coverage of the raceday experiences, as well as hosting the TABtouch Melbourne Cup Day at Ascot Racecourse marquee event.

Professor John Yovich AM, Managing Director of Perth Racing said: “We have a fabulous Ascot Racing Carnival planned which will be packed with entertainment, great hospitality and quality thoroughbred racing”.

Born and raised in Perth, Grady received a scholarship to study a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and Advertising at Curtin University. Studious and determined, Grady went on to complete a postgraduate diploma of Broadcasting at Edith Cowan University where she was awarded the Channel Seven award for the Student with the Most Potential in Commercial TV and a scholarship with Fox Sports News, prompting a move to Sydney.

“I have always had a passion for events and fashion and felt the ambassador role at Perth Racing for the 2020 Ascot Racing Carnival was the perfect next step in my career. Hosting the Perth Cup at the start of 2019 gave me a taste of what's to come for the upcoming season and boy oh boy I cannot wait - the decision to take on the Ambassador role was a no brainer given my love of the races and the entertainment, food and fun there is to experience.

This role paired with my new reporting role at GWN7 truly combines all of my passions and I am honoured to be home pursuing the career I have worked so hard for,” said Grady Wulff, Ambassador of Perth Racing.

The excitement level is rising with the countdown to the Ascot Racing Carnival and the official launch of spring fashions at the annual Privé Fashion Platform fashion show.  A night of striking spring fashion will hit the runway at Ascot Racecourse on Friday 2 October. The week after all the horseplay begins at Ascot Racecourse with Crown Perth Opening Day on Saturday 10 October and wraps up with TABtouch Perth Cup Day on Saturday 2 January.

With 10 key carnival racedays featuring world-class horse racing, each carnival day has a specific theme allowing patrons to select their ultimate raceday experience. Whether it’s celebrating with the ladies on Champion Fillies Day, experiencing the fashion trackside on Melbourne Cup Day or watching the finest thoroughbreds for serious horseplay at The TABtouch Masters commencing with Kirin Railway Stakes Day on Saturday 21 November.
