Black Sabbath is set to contest the weakest race of his career on Wednesday after dropping into midweek grade for the first time on his 16th start and, while he has not soared as high as his connections had hoped, he is a Listed placegetter going round in a Class Five handicap off the back of three decent runs in 72+ events.
According to Punting Form, Black Sabbath's last-start rating is the best of Wednesday's Heineken 3 Handicap field and, also, the Robert and Todd Harvey-trained gelding boasts the highest two-year personal best of the 11 gallopers expected to line up in the final race on the Ascot Racecourse twilight program.
