Miss West Coast gapped her Engine Room Espresso Plate rivals

The Run of the Race Episode 48

Trevor Andrews-trained filly Miss West Coast advertised her Ascot Racing Carnival credentials with Saturday's star performance at Belmont Park and Punting Form's data back up Mark Worwood's assertion few trainers place their gallopers better than premiership champion Adam Durrant.

According to Punting Form, Saturday's Engine Room Espresso Plate which Miss West Coast won was six lengths faster to the 600 metres pole and 3.5l faster overall than the D'Orsogna Handicap which Durrant-prepared Some Sort led all the way five races later. Also, female Miss West Coast carried 3.5 kilograms more than male Some Sort but both earned the same cash.

Remember, Perth Racing is granting free general admission to every thoroughbred racing meeting at Belmont Park this year.
