Beaucount can lead all the way and graduate from restricted class

Punting Form race reports: Saturday 21 September

Beaucount is set to compete in his 10th graduation handicap at Belmont Park on Saturday and, according to Punting Form, the free-wheeling, Brad Graham-trained gelding should be TABtouch's favourite to win the 2,000 metres event.

An easy winner in the same class six months ago, Beaucount finds himself in the weakest Saturday race he has contested since his aforementioned victory at Ascot Racecourse. Beaucount maps as leading Saturday's Brian Wheeler 90th Birthday Handicap at Belmont Park and none of his rivals has a Punting Form two-year personal best to match his peak performance. Furthermore, Beaucount boasts the highest Punting Form last-start figure of the Brian Wheeler 90th Birthday Handicap field, plus the jury is out considering its verdict on early market leader Too Close The Sun, which failed to justify being an odds-on shot seven days ago.
