Punting Form's ratings say Bobcat Johnnie's first-up win was not a fluke

Punting Form race reports: Wednesday 18 September

Anne King produced Bobcat Johnnie to win first up from nearly 600 days off the track and, according to Punting Form, the extremely lightly raced seven-year-old gelding put up excellent numbers throughout his Belmont Park maiden victory.

Bobcat Johnnie's last-start Punting Form rating was 4.8 lengths superior to the best of his Ascot Racing Carnival Handicap rivals and, therefore, he is worth backing to win Belmont Park's third of seven races on Wednesday. Picasso Bay possesses ability but she will be first up from her 158-day spell and, while Eurotrip looks better than his raw Punting Form data suggests, he is a three-year-old galloper competing against older runners which has to take the next step forward. Eurotrip is likely to be TABtouch's pretty warm favourite as well.
