William Pike rode Great Again to perfection in the Belmont Newmarket
Leading all the way is not one of William Pike's frequently employed tactics but it does feature in The Wizard's playbook and, according to Punting Form's data that powers The Run of the Race, he summed up Saturday's Belmont Newmarket at Belmont Park perfectly aboard Great Again.
Great Again's first black type win, an important milestone for the Lindsey Smith team and the gelding's owner, Geoff Evans, was the highest rating performance of the meeting but, yet again, Pearce Racing-trained mare Essential Spice impressed the clock-watching fraternity.
