Baron Bostock will look a bit different on Wednesday when he races in blinkers for the first time

Punting Form race reports: Wednesday 24 July

Baron Bostock has not enjoyed a clear passage in each of his two races since he smashed the clock third up this preparation but his excellent Punting Form personal best rating and Daniel Morton's decision to add blinkers to his gear mean he is worthy of respect in Wednesday's Furphy Handicap at Belmont Park.

Punting Form rated Baron Bostock's Iron Jack Handicap win at Belmont Park on Wednesday 5 June very highly and, while it was understandable he failed to back up his -9.0 figure next time out, heavy traffic meant he did not get a crack at Distant Trilogy and others in the straight. Baron Bostock has featured in the Racing and Wagering Western Australia stewards reports every time he has competed this campaign but, on his day, he is a Saturday-grade galloper.
