Free Trade's second placing in Saturday's Crown Perth Handicap was sufficient for Ian Devenish (Devo58) to edge Ben Devlin (Beenybejammin) in a finish reminiscent of Galaxy Star getting the nod over Gatting in the meeting's Group Three feature event. Devlin is the most unlucky tipper in PR TipStar's history but he has been pipped at the post on several occasions since its introduction in October. Devlin, who was one of six PR TipStar - 2019 Belmont Park players to place their big bet on triumphant Hayden Ballantyne-trained roughie Mankind, picked In Love With Paris in the Strickland Stakes Day finale but Fred Kersley's gelding finished eighth.
PR TipStar - 2019 Belmont Park Round Five winner Gary Ilich (Jayman23) is the new overall leader after six of the 19 scheduled rounds, usurping Glenn Montague (Glennm) at the summit. However, Montague has a good Strickland Stakes Day because he is a part owner of Celtic Court, which won the TABtouch - Better Your Bet Handicap, one of William Pike's latest Saturday four-timer.
