Boyagin (lime green and black colours) and William Pike pipped Crypto (yellow, black, white and green colours) and Chris Parnham at Ascot Racecourse last month

Punting Form race reports: Wednesday 1 May

Chris Parnham takes over from Warrnambool-bound William Pike aboard Boyagin and the youngest of the Parnham brothers will be hoping the Brett Pope-trained galloper continues his winning ways after the Patronize gelding edged out Crypto and the 22-year-old jockey in the middle of April at Ascot Racecourse.

Boyagin's two-year Punting Form personal best is three lengths inferior to Good Fortune but Parnham's pick-up mount has considerably more upside than most of his Thomas Sabo Handicap rivals, he drawn an inside gate for his third career assignment and he is the only runner which placed either first or second on his last start. Boyagin was very well supported to prevail first up and he is likely to feature prominently in what does not look an overly strong Class One handicap.
