Macroy (yellow, blue and white colours) may not be the best way to bet on Saturday's MJ DeFrancesch Handicap at Ascot Racecourse

Punting Form race reports: Saturday 2 February

TABtouch installed Macroy as its early favourite for Saturday's MJ DeFrancesch Handicap at Ascot Racecourse but, according to Punting Form's data, there may be value in opposing the Bruce Watkins-trained last-start Wednesday winner.

Macroy did not smash the Ascot Racecourse clock in winning the Perth Racing Club Membership Handicap, Akvavit did not advertise the form when she was defeated at odds on on her next appearance and, whereas Kate Witten's mount rises in class significantly, two of her MJ DeFrancesch Handicap opponents go the other way, namely Speeding Comet and Captivated Point. Speeding Comet is particularly interesting because he registered a decent Punting Form rating in spite of being wide all the way in the TABtouch - Better Your Bet Handicap last weekend and he boasts form lines around Scenic Blast Stakes hotpot Misty Metal. Speeding Comet, Captivated Point and Night Voyage, which was third first up at Pinjarra without a trial, look overpriced with TABtouch compared to Macroy.

Perth Racing is committed to providing punters with the best possible free data to enable them to bet with confidence on the club's races with TABtouch, the brand that funds the industry.
