12. TOUCH THE CLOUDS (TABtouch opening price: 20.00)

Do not be surprised if Skye Bogenhuber leads the opening event aboard Touch The Clouds because she won a truckload of races in Queensland by riding positively and her mount has produced her best results when placed close to the speed.

Bogenhuber, who won five Toowoomba jockey premierships before making the move to Western Australia, has ridden Touch The Clouds twice and the mare was much better when the Queen of the Darling Downs urged her forward early.

2. BANGALORE (TABtouch opening price: 13.00)

Bangalore drew the outside gate but he maps as being able to find the front if Jarrad Noske elects to go forward on the Chris Gangemi-trained, former Hong Kong-based galloper on which he takes over from Peter Knuckey.

Racing in Hong Kong did not work out for Bangalore, which relocated to Honkers after breaking his maiden over 1,100m at Morphettville in South Australia. Striking a genuinely dry surface may be sufficient for Bangalore to hit his straps.

10. MYTHICAL SAGA (TABtouch opening price: 10.00)

Mythical Saga caught the eye in his most recent run two weeks ago, registering the fastest final furlong when fifth of 10 over 1,400m. Only Mythical Saga and The Girl of Vasse broke 12 seconds for the last 200m of that contest.

Jarrad Noske is an eye-catching jockey booking for Mythical Saga, which is working his way into form and step to 1,650m after two fitness-building efforts over shorter distances. Mythical Saga’s last performance rated the best of his career.
