Under the Radar: Beaufine Stakes Day at Belmont - Saturday 15 July

Race 2 - 1:14pm Get The Tabtouch Plate (1200 Metres) – Full Field

TABtouch opening price: $10

An impressive trialler recently, the son of Rogano makes his debut for Darren McAuliffe after being educated by Stan Bates earlier in his career.

The gelding’s recent trial at Lark Hill over 950m on Monday 7 July was mighty impressive when winning after sitting three-wide for the trip.

He found the line like a very nice horse and is great value at $10 with TABtouch.

Show Honey won impressively last start when chasing down Bold Success.

The daughter of Showcasing will go back from barrier 10 but only has to carry 53.5kg with thanks to Clint Johnston-Porter’s claim.

Her last 600m sectional of 35.91 was devastating when winning last start in the soft going.

A repeat effort could see her pushing High Conviction and Enchanted Dream to their respective limits.

The son of Commands was brilliant when winning first up at Pinjarra over 1406m, which was also his first start in Western Australia since coming over from New South Wales.

The former Godolphin-owned galloper simply didn’t get through the very soft track last start over 1600m and should be forgiven.

Out an extra 50m in distance, with the firmer surface, and the interestingly-named gelding should be some chance at each-way odds.
