Alaskan God

Alaskan God aiming for three in a row

The stable of Daniel Morton will be hoping to have more success with a middle-distance stayer when Alaskan God takes his place in the TabTouch Better Your Bet Handicap at Ascot Racecourse on Sunday.

Alaskan God, a gelding by Playing God, has won two races from three starts and has shown he is only going to get better the further he goes.

His maiden win was over 1400m, where he made up late ground to win comfortably at Pinjarra Park by almost two-lengths.

He proved that was no fluke when stretching out to 1800m and winning by a length at Ascot in a Class 1 event.

Tempted with some of the nice three-year-old races in WA currently, Alaskan God will be a chance of joining up with those staying races if he can show his class again on Sunday against the older horses.

From barrier 4, you would expect the galloper to be mid-field or worse and hopefully demonstrating another strong turn of foot.
