Trix Of The Trade will be aiming for six victories in a row and four Listed victories in a row when he steps out in the Listed Schweppes-J.C. Roberts Stakes (1800m) at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday.

The gelding by Trade Fair has now amassed seven victories from his eight career starts and earnt more than $300,000 in prize money.

Trained by Colin Webster, he has showed brilliance over shorter trips and is demonstrating versatility by still having a turn of foot late in his recent races as he steps up in distance.

This preparation he has won a 3yo Plate (1200m) by 3.5 lengths, the Listed WA Breeders (1400m) by 0.9 lengths, Listed Challenge Stakes (1500m) by 0.4 lengths and the Listed Lex Piper Stakes (1600m) by 0.6 lengths.

Jockey Troy Turner will again be able to put the three-year-old in a perfect position from barrier 3 and should get the run of the race.

Of the challenges, Henchard who finished third in the Lex Piper beaten 0.7 lengths looks the biggest danger with the extra 200m.
