Capacity Restrictions at Ascot Racecourse
Level 2 Public Health Measures
Furphy Bunbury Cup Day – Saturday 5 March 2022
Following the updated guidance received from WA Police, Perth Racing would like to advise the following functions will go ahead on Saturday 5 March in line with capacity limits, including:
• Flying Colours Restaurant
• The Terrace Restaurant
• Swish function
• Private sponsor function bookings
Under the WA Government’s COVID-19 restrictions announced on 28/02/2022 and the COVID-19 transition directions released today, Perth Racing must comply with the Level 2 public health measures. This includes a capacity of 150 patrons in a single undivided indoor space or a single undivided outdoor space. All patrons must also comply with the 2sqm rule and be seated when consuming food and beverage. Masks are mandatory indoors.
Each hospitality ticketed function will be limited to 150 patrons, with no access to areas outside of the allocated venue. This means that patrons based in a specific venue will not be able to access any other areas, such as Grandstand viewing or the Mounting Yard.
Perth Racing Members
Perth Racing and Bunbury Turf Club Members who are booked into one of the above restaurants or functions listed will be able to attend this scheduled Bunbury race meeting. All other Members will be unable to attend due to capacity limits, and the Members’ Floor will not be accessible. We are continuing to work with all agencies on the ever changing WA Government COVID-19 restrictions. We will continue to update all members on any changes week by week.
Owners
Owners of a runner in the TABtouch-Bunbury Stakes at Race 7 and the Furphy-Bunbury Cup at Race 8 will be contacted by Perth Racing, as we have a limited number of spots available in the outside area. The primary contact for each representative will be contacted to confirm attendee names.
General Admission
Please note, we will not be able to honour General Admission ticket holders and there will be no tickets available at the gate. All existing General Admission ticket holders will be contacted via Ticketek for a full refund. We are also unable to honour complimentary General Admission tickets.
Fashions On The Field
We can also confirm we have to cancel the Bunbury Fashions On The Field competition. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
