The Listed Schweppes-Ascot 1000 Guineas at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday has three cerise and white runners in the twelve-horse field, but things are a little bit different this time.
The cerise and white runners will be represented by three different trainers, Adam Durrant, Grant Williams, and Hayden Ballantyne.
Durrant will saddle up Reliable Choice, a filly by Reliable Man that broke through two starts ago. Struggling last start over 1200m, it’s a quick step up to 1800m to hopefully see some improvement from the galloper. Clint Johnston-Porter will ride her again.
Williams will have Miss America who will be ridden by Chris Parnham. She is a winner of two races from six starts but has struggled this preparation finishing eight and seventh in her two recent starts.
Fine Romance will step out for Ballantyne, with Patrick Carbery staying with the So You Think filly. She’s had seven career starts for a victory and five placings. Her only victory came over 1600m, so the step up in distance should be beneficial.
The race will commence at 4.15pm local time.
