Durrant corners the Celebration of Life Day Trophy

Leading trainer Adam Durrant has a strong hand in the Celebration of Life Day Trophy with three runners in a nine-horse field.

Durrant will saddle up True Attraction, Beret and Proconsent for the benchmark 84+ event over 1500m at Ascot Racecourse.

True Attraction, a six-year-old gelding, will be first-up off two recent trials and historically has been very competitive at the start of a new preparation.

The successful formula of Patrick Carbery and the cerise and white will reunite again, as he picks up the ride on the gelding by More Than Ready.

Beret will be hoping to continue her amazing preparation in which she has won four races in a row, including the Group 3 Mrs Mac’s-La Trice Stakes last start.

Clint Johnston-Porter has ridden the mare for all those victories, but Durrant looks to have decided that Proconsent is his number 1 seed in the race by putting Johnston-Porter on Proconsent, providing the opportunity to Paul Harvey to ride Beret.

Proconsent looks set to get a nice run from barrier 1 and with only 54.5kg for the six-year-old gelding by Proart.

Since joining the Durrant stable, he has been very consistent and has opened as the $3.00 favourite for the event.

Please note that Saturday's raceday has been postponed to Monday.
