Three-year-old filly The Verdict, will be hoping to win her fourth race in her past five starts when she steps out in the Class 3 1400m for fillies and mares at Belmont Park on Wednesday.
It took the daughter of God Has Spoken a few runs to find her best form, but since stretching out to the mile she has found consistency in her performances.
The filly has carried 58kg to victory before but will have to improve again since she has been allocated 60kg for this event. The positive for her is that the minimum in the race is 57kg.
From barrier 1 we can expect to see regular jockey Jordan Turner try to dictate terms from the front and hope that she is too strong over the concluding stages.
She will have strong competition from Treasured Prize who was a winner last start and also Blow Me Out who will be looking to return to some of the stronger form she has shown previously.
