Written Matter Winning 12 May 2021 at Ascot Racecourse

Making it Matter

Promising three-year-old gelding Written Matter will be hoping to make it back-to-back victories when he takes his place at Belmont racecourse on Wednesday in the Twin-City Drive-In Theatre Handicap (1300m).

The gelding by Written Tycoon has been a working progress for trainers Chris & Michael Gangemi with the pair stating that they have had to overcome a lot of psychological issues with the galloper to ensure he was ready to perform on raceday.

Jockey Jarrad Noske has been a big help in overcoming those issues, with the galloper spending plenty of time with Noske on his property to iron out of some his quirks which included barrier and float issues.

Trying to guarantee a positive experience on raceday, the placement of this galloper has been key with the Gangemi’s trying to keep him at Ascot and Belmont and not having to float to other destinations.

He will have to overcome a wide draw and 60kg on Wednesday if he is going to make it two-from-two.
