Perth Racing is sure the Wizard of the West will continue to strike gold as Australia’s most successful winning jockey, winner of the Group One $1,000,000 Kirin-Railway Stakes on 21 November 2020 (his third straight Railway Stakes win), and has achieved 239 wins in the 2019-20 season, 99 wins ahead of Victorian Jockey, Jye McNeil, his closest rival for the year.
Perth Racing has nominated William Pike for The West Australian RAC Sports Star of the Year, as part of the RAC SportWest Awards 2020. At just 34 Pike has won eleven Group One Titles, ridden more winners than any other Australian jockey in 2019-20 and achieved a massive 2,608 career wins all-up.
